Community Affairs

The Community Affairs Team supports the goals of the Leadership Oakland Alumni Association through charitable endeavors. The committee is responsible for coordination and fundraising for community service and community outreach programs of the association.  


This committee aims to build awareness of LOAA’s value and increase member engagement by consistently and actively communicating the organization’s mission, key initiatives and impact on the Oakland community.


The Membership Team is charged with membership recruitment and retention, serving as the channel through which all new members enter the association. The committee also continues to assist active members to enhance their professional experience through participation in the alumni association. 


This team leads the organizing and coordination of the Association’s networking, leadership programs and education events. The committee is charged with helping our members continue to grow and develop as leaders, as well as engage with the surrounding business community.
